Library Facilities and Services
- A collection of over 22,000 books, 500 educational DVDs and kits, accessed by the computer catalogue available on all library stations.
- We can, and often do, host upward of 90 students or three classes at one time.
- All drop-in students must have a teacher-signed note to be in the library during class time. Students must give Mr. Morrison their note and then sign-in on the clipboard on his desk.
- Subscriptions to 20 periodicals
- Encyclopedias, dictionaries and almanacs available on line and in book form
- On line databases
- 50 computers with internet access for student use
- Colour scanner

- Digital transfer of video tapes to dvd or to a flash drive.
- Free photocopier/printer
- Seminar Room for groups of up to 3 or 4 to view videos or work on group projects.
- A knowledgeable and user-friendly Teacher-Librarian, Mr. Morrison.
- Student identification or another piece of identification must be presented in order to borrow library material. Your teacher may also vouch for you.
- Books are available for a 2-week loan period and may be renewed, provided no one else has reserved the book.
- Students may borrow 4 items at one time. Teachers may borrow up to 9 items at one time.
- Reference books may be borrowed on an overnight basis, to be returned before 9:00 am the next school day, otherwise your computer account is frozen.
- Special loan periods may apply to books that are needed for class projects. Textbooks, with the exception of English Courses, are signed out to you for the entire semester. English textbooks [novels, etc.] are signed out for the duration of particular in-class units.
- Students are responsible for returning all library materials by the due date. We do not issue fines; instead we issue a bill for the FULL REPLACEMENT cost of the item (book, dvd, kit, textbook, etc), and your school computer account is frozen until you either return the item or pay up.
- Students will be charged FULL REPLACEMENT COST for lost or damaged material.
- Current magazines are available for library use only. Back issues may be borrowed. Issues older than 6 months are given away on a 'first come, first served' basis. Teachers may request certain magazines be held specifically for their classes.
